Answered

Yes. The answer was yes. She said yes, we said yes, they said yes. Most importantly God said yes, the time is now. Time to add a little one into our home. He is so small. He is a treasure. He keeps us awake at night. My hands are full, full of great things. Full of God's great gifts. Full of grace poured out onto me. And yes sometime my hands are just dirty and covered in poo or spit up. But joyous nonetheless. God has to richly blessed us. God's timing is perfect. Never what I would have expected. And that is why He is God and I am not. Praise God!

Moldable

Recipe for homemade Play-dough

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 tablespoons cream of tartar

Directions:

Mix flour, salt, cream of tartar, and oil, and slowly add the water. Cook over medium heat, stirring until dough becomes stiff. Plop on the counter and let cool. Knead the dough with your hands until a pliable

This is the recipe I used to make our first attempt at the moldable fun that kids love. I enjoy making my kids something to learn from. I would like to think I can teach my children life lessons as well as math and science. I just hope and Pray daily that I can be an example of God's everlasting, unconditional Love and Forgiveness.

Going Banana's

Banana's are yummy, but they are one of the first foods for babies. They are such an interesting food though. They are nice and green and crisp, and within days they are yellow or brown. So when you are feeding it to a baby, it does the exact same thing. It's nice and ripe for the mashing and looks and tastes great, until about an hour later when its all brown and starting to smell funny. Also if you don't rinse the bib right away, the banana seems to be a permanent fixture on the bib.

One thing I do not understand it why the baby-food makers make bananas? Are we that lazy as a society that we will pay sometimes 4 times the price for a banana in a plastic container already mashed for us for your babies? Really people is it that hard to put the banana in a dish and mash it for your child? If it is a convenience factor, you still don't have an excuse. It takes just as long to mash the banana as it does to walk from the kitchen to where you are feeding the child. Its called multi-tasking. I'm just sayin...
