Going Banana's

Banana's are yummy, but they are one of the first foods for babies. They are such an interesting food though. They are nice and green and crisp, and within days they are yellow or brown. So when you are feeding it to a baby, it does the exact same thing. It's nice and ripe for the mashing and looks and tastes great, until about an hour later when its all brown and starting to smell funny. Also if you don't rinse the bib right away, the banana seems to be a permanent fixture on the bib.

One thing I do not understand it why the baby-food makers make bananas? Are we that lazy as a society that we will pay sometimes 4 times the price for a banana in a plastic container already mashed for us for your babies? Really people is it that hard to put the banana in a dish and mash it for your child? If it is a convenience factor, you still don't have an excuse. It takes just as long to mash the banana as it does to walk from the kitchen to where you are feeding the child. Its called multi-tasking. I'm just sayin...
